It’s a chronic thing. You see, I have depression and what is probably chronic fatigue syndrome. I am also recovering from a bout of flu and strep throat simultaneously. So I got through my work week last week and planned a weekend of working on the house, as the temperature had gotten warm enough – and collapsed on the couch for most of two days. Husband bought me M&Ms. I got lazy and didn’t go back to the store for salad fixings. Memorial Day barbecue involved humongous hamburgers with cheese hidden in the center, macerated strawberries over angel food cake, and a couple of beers. My pain levels continue to be very high. Sounds like a bunch of excuses? That’s because it is. The good news is, I must be hanging on to the wagon for dear life, because I actually lost another pound. I’ve been sticking to this diet and exercise plan for a week now, and things are going pretty well. Here’s the breakdown so far. What went right: I brought home all the fixings for a massive and delicious salad bar, and spent most of an afternoon cleaning and chopping. It now takes me about five minutes to put together a huge and satisfying salad. I have been eating these as soon as I get hungry to avoid binges. I have done yoga five days of seven. Sometimes only a few minutes worth, but some every day. I have fired up…
