Regina Jeffers writes a wonderful bit of Austenalia combined with a tightly written mystery in ‘The Disappearance of Georgiana Darcy’. As is typical for me, I started in the middle of a series (again), so there are books before (and after) this one, but it didn’t detract from the novel. The author gives just enough background between the canonical Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and her own works that come before the story to inform without intruding.
